What happened to Ambassador-Serbia??

His site hasn't been updated for almost 2 months.

His facebook for over 1 month.

Last activity on his facebook is a virus post 2 weeks ago.

Is he dead?

Did he have a mental breakdown?

Cummon, Karl, people have paid you good money to post insipid platitudes about Serbia and you're letting them down!

  5. I do hope Karl is well, if only for the sake of his young daughter. He doesn't really strike me as a bad guy even though I don't know him personally. It is unfortunate that he seems to have adopted some of the most narrow-minded and distasteful Serbian characteristics as as of late, though.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Not "as of late". He started embracing the lowest form of Serbian chauvinism and intolerance quite early on. It's just that he's upped the ante in that regard considerably.

  6. The last few problems he mentioned were those with his laptop which had to be sent for repairs - so maybe the laptop was only temporarily repaired and ended up dying. The other was some eye problem - I forgot what it was - cornea transplants maybe, but it was a chronic problem which went back to his days in France. He did see a doctor who fixed it up, but that too may be a delicate situation where it is generally deteriorating, or was advised to take a long break from computer work.
Or maybe he had to go back to France to help some relative - elderly parent, sibling, etc. for a while. It could have been an emergency situation and that combined with his laptop going out meant he couldn't inform his readership.

  7. In December he posted: "Moving to Zemun tomorrow. Found a 100 m2 brand new Stan for 180 euros per month. But the owner knows my site and told me I have only to pay 160 euros and offered me the month of December. So great!"
It's sooo great to get some freebies. All Serbia likes freebies. Serbs are freebies :) Balkan is my free cookie :)

I saw that someone mentioned another parasite like creature named Charles Kater? Or something like that, anyway he is another foreigner preying on Serbian hospitality and kindness, says he is "HELPING" Serbia.
Looks more like he is helping himself to free this and that, he even went on tv here and begged the government or someone to help him stay here.

Just do a google search you will be bound to run across his videos, seems like a case of running away from something.

Looks like Serbia needs to flush.

  13. "he even went on tv here and begged the government or someone to help him stay here"
So DJ you work for the U.S. government? What are you doing in Serbia? For sure nothing good as U.S. is a net ultra harm to Serbs and Serbia.

But now with the Ukraine issues maybe the U.S. will finally get a contender more its size in Russia.

    1. yes yes, that must be it! Because only a foreign spy would hate Serbia!

      Delete
    2. I don't say he is a spy. I am saying WHATEVER project America does is self-serving for America's interests and is detrimental for the Serbs. Americans are messing in the Sandzak area now - where there's Muslims, including many radicalized ones who have been recruiting and going to Syria's war.
If you look at USaid projects you see they are mostly for the non-Serbs in Serbia or else they go to the severely handicapped - ones who will be a burden and can never be expected to rebuild Serbia.
I scrutinize all the projects/meddling and can read between the lines. The U.S. does a SEVERE net harm to Serbs and Serbia. This is not to even touch on the environmental damage from the DU and bombing the petrochemical plants, fertilizer plants, and oil refineries in Pancevo.
You, I take it, are in private/entrepreneur type business and not working for the U.S. government.

      Delete
    3. Damn USAID for giving money to the handicapped. Obviously, they're just trying to humiliate Serbia

      Delete
    4. "... the severely handicapped - ones who will be a burden and can never be expected to rebuild Serbia."

I take it then that most Serbs must also be "handicapped" in some way since they don't seem to be capable of rebuilding Serbia either.

  14. Why would I work for the US Govt? What are you doing in Serbia yourself? So you agree the US is doing no good here in Serbia?
Nice to know, but opinions are like assholes everyone has one.

The Ukraine, Christians killing Christians is nothing good.

You are an obvious fan of that guy or you are him for that matter, why else would you reply to my posting that?

    1. I am not in Serbia. I read the blogs/news to keep tabs on things in Serbia and the Balkans. I am not a fan of Karl but read his blog, just like Doot does even though Doot doesn't like him. I don't like Doot but find his blog interesting at times.

Yeah, Ukraine. Well the State Department official Nuland bragged how $5 Billion was sent to the opposition/protesters. That money was used to overturn an ELECTED government and the OSCE even certified that election.
In Ukraine the U.S. is again the mover behind all the troubles. The U.S. (with its poodles (Britain, Germany, etc.) and puppets (5th columnists and radicalized/demanding minorities or groups within the targeted countries) are used to attack the government of a country which is not at U.S. puppet - which does not allow full control by international corporations and banksters of the countries' assets and land.
It's said that Ukraine's pipelines are being sold to Chevron - thanks to the new illegal (U.S. State Dep. directed and installed government) and that its industry is being sold to Germany. Also, Ukraine's gold reserves were said to be sent to the New York Fed about a week ago.

And look at the lovely job the U.S. did in Libya - it's now in almost complete chaos. Where's its gold now?
Iraq and Afghanistan are just bastions of "democracy" too.

Charles Cather has made a lot of videos about Serbia and traveling around there a bit. I think he's been living there a full year now but had visited it it prior to that: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCg3GhrCu2wiVesOTGCXYGjg

    2. Coming to peasant country fucked up by wars and expecting it to be any good. It got out of the UN sanctions in 2001 and out of sanctions imposed by the western sphere in 2004, what the fuck do you expect, for Belgrade to be like New York, Berlin, Seoul, Amsterdam?

    4. no no... Serbia doesn't get to use the excuse of war and sanctions 20 years ago to explain why everyone is so incompetent, lazy and delusional today. I didn't expect it to be new york, no.

Running away from something is, indeed, what most foreigners in the Balkans are doing (the ones that make blogs about how awesome it is. first clue). I explain what I'm doing a few times in this blog. It's there if you're interested.

    5. you actually hit the nail on the head with one of your words - "peasant country". that's just it. I didn't expect life in Belgrade to be life in a peasant country. And it is. and it's a shock.

    9. "no no... Serbia doesn't get to use the excuse of war and sanctions 20 years ago to explain why everyone is so incompetent, lazy and delusional today. I didn't expect it to be new york, no."

No, the sanctions were still going on less than 20 years ago as well as the war. There were still continued refugee movements in to Serbia in 1999 and 2000. Then again with the 2004 pogroms in Kosovo - almost exactly 10 years ago - there were again refugees from Kosovo.

Plus you forget that 100s of thousands of those refugees still can't go back to their homes in Croatia, Kosovo and in the Muslim-Croat controlled parts of Bosnia.

Serbia is still supporting a huge refugee population.

And Serbs also got a puppet government installed with the maneuverings of the CIA/Otpor and pressure and threats.

These western-approved governments set on a huge privatization (and the west really pushed Serbia to do privatizations) and what happened was the hasty, often fire-sale priced privatizations, which sold enterprises to gangsters (including non-Serbian ones such as Montenegrin, Bulgarian, etc.) who then proceeded to dismantle a lot of Serbia's surviving industry. A lot of hearty businesses which survived the sanctions and war and were still often exporting!

You also forget the huge brain-drain and loss of the best and brightest and that things like this will continue years after war and sanctions because it can take a long time to rebuild, even without a corrupt western-installed puppet government.

You really do not understand the effect the war, sanctions and half million displaced and refugee Serbs have on Serbia at all.

      Delete
    10. Yes, wars, sanctions, all terrible things, but the worst thing that has ever happened to Serbia are - SERBS themselves. Lowest average IQ in Europe, high on corruption, laziness and aggressiveness, low on education, work ethic and common courtesy, unwilling to take initiative and responsibility, unable to learn from their mistakes, incapable of tolerating anything different or unknown. Spitefully defiant (inat), malicious ('da komsiji crkne krava'), small-minded, boorish peasants, filosofija palanke.

    11. "you actually hit the nail on the head with one of your words - "peasant country". that's just it. I didn't expect life in Belgrade to be life in a peasant country. And it is. and it's a shock."

And yet you came to Serbia even through you knew that whole Europe from 1800 to this day called Serbs atavistic, I mean, c'mon even Serbs called themselves savages. Just one look on the Serbian literature you would have known that. "u nekoj zemlji seljaka na brdovitom Balkanu", ring a bell?

Also it's not like wars didn't fuck up a country, age structure was fucked up beyond repair, we had to build shelters and pay for the 300 000 refugees (this would even devastate Sweden, the country that is really rich), middle aged people chooled themselves in the 90s when finnishing school was a luxury, a lot of people grew up without father, infrastructure suffered more than 50 billion worth of damage, Serbia had to switch from the communism to capitalism. All this happened less than 20 years ago, not to say that now we don't have access to the EU funds, we also had to pay for keeping the mini-state since our friends from the west like to integrate Serbs by sending them all into Serbia without any compensation.

The standard of the people is on the Africa-level so next time you rage at someone, remember that he probably works 8 to 10 hours a day whole week for a pay of less than 200 euros a month probably without pension and health insurance and note that Serbia is little less armed than the USA so if somebody gets mad at you, you'll probably end with a bullet in your head.

  18. Wow, you're a real downer man. You also have the wrong impression about the people even after all this time, most of the youth wants to move abroad and they fully realize how much the country sucks (at least the non retards of which, i grant you, there many). Now i'm not saying you should go back to where you were living before but you seem really fucking unhappy here.

P.S. I hope you at least made some real friends after all this time, otherwise i really fail to realize what could keep you from leaving this place other than some materialistic reason or some stupid shit like that.

  19. His blog is up an running and has three new posts. The latest that a young man named Matija Golubović offered to help him run his blog. And the "Ambassador" says Matija is the stepson of one of the richest men in the Balkans. So I would guess there's enough money to keep the blog going as long as Matija is involved and on step dad's good side.
